AUTOSOMAL DOMINANT EPILEPSY WITH AUDITORY FEATURES

Background

The background EEG is normal.

Interictal

The interictal EEG is usually normal; 30% have focal temporal epileptiform abnormalities.

Activation

EEG abnormality is enhanced by sleep deprivation and in sleep.

Ictal

The ictal EEG may show mid-temporal, anterior temporal, or fronto-temporal focal ictal rhythms.
