Mandatory seizures

Seizures are not mandatory as some patients do not have seizures.

May have

Seizures are typically infrequent, nocturnal and mainly have focal motor features (e.g. hemiclonic). Seizures frequency increases and other seizure types often appear at the time cognitive impairment emerges. The following seizures types may occur:

• Focal impaired awareness seizure
• Focal sensory auditory seizure
• Absence seizures
• Atypical absence seizures
• Atonic seizures
• Focal to bilateral tonic-clonic seizures
